How to Protect Your FINANCES: What is in your WALLET? What to keep and what to remove!

Have you checked what is in your wallet lately?
With theft on the rise, I thought it would be a great time to share ways to protect your money, identity and personal well-being. Here are a few ideas:
What to keep in your wallet:
Photo identification. Example: State issued drivers license or identification card.
Auto Insurance Card
Medical Insurance Card
In case of an emergency contact:
Items to include:
Your emergency contact with name and phone number
Doctors Contact Information
Any major health issues and allergies
Covid Vaccine Card if you know you will need it otherwise keep at home.
At least 1 Debit Card and or Cash
Groceries 1-2 two weeks supply
Gas money: 1 to 2 weeks worth of gas
Emergency petty cash: I encourage at least $50-100 ***Also (keep at least a few hundred or more locked in a safe at home)
Fun Money: 1 to 2 weeks worth
Items to remove from your wallet…..
Social Security Card
Passport
Birth Certificate
Checkbook if not planning to use
Debit cards, business cards and credit cards not using.
Passwords (Examples: bank info, credit info etc.
Extra cash not needed on hand
Medicare Card: Due to medical scams *** only keep in your wallet if heading to the doctor or hospital.
Spare home key (Keep one at home and one with someone you trust)
Gift cards: Remove from wallet if not planning to use asap.
