Shine your light and Persue Unity

Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion,  then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.  Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,  not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Philippians 2:1-5

With the Holy Spirit inside of us we have the power to walk in unity, peace and love with others. Let’s lay aside areas of selfishness, pride, jealousy, malice and all prejudices. Walking in unity with others is a struggle sometimes. Maybe you have difficult relationships at home, work, in your friendships and community. Take time to pray and seek the Lord to help you in these areas.

This week who needs more of your grace, love, and kindness? How can you be gentle in your words? In what ways can you persue unity instead of division in your relationships with others?

Prayer: Lord, help us this week at home and as we walk out our doors and into our daily lives. May you fill us with your abundant love, joy and peace so we can shine bright in the darkness.
