5 Tips to Spring Clean on a Budget!~

Hello friends,

Hope you are having a wonderful Spring so far! What are some fun projects, road trips or places you have been to enjoy the wonderful season?

These past few weeks I have been working on Spring cleaning, organizing and redecorating. I finally began using the Cricut which I got for Christmas. It has been a time of learning and joyfully making DIY projects on a budget.

I thought I would share with you a few of the tips, tricks and resources I used to help save time and money.

5 Tips for Spring Cleaning on a Budget!~

  1. Utilize a Spring cleaning & organizing checklist

  2. Don’t overwhelm yourself. Do a zone area at a time. Examples: Kitchen, bathroom, office etc.

  3. Schedule a day or time that works for you.

  4. Set priorities and deadlines for projects.

  5. Budget for replacement items needed. Check out my blog: Spring Shopping Like a Pro.

Steps I take to Spring Clean

  • Main areas of focus for seasonal: kitchen, bathrooms, closets, bathrooms, outdoor spaces. In the kitchen: oven, fridge, pantry and drawers.

  • Remove items from spaces. Sort into piles: trash, keep, donate or sell. I love using Facebook Buy Nothing and Facebook Marketplace to donate or sell items. Plus, I give to family members or Goodwill.

  • Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum and clean windows.

  • Reorganize items into baskets, drawers, closets, shelves. etc.

  • Redecorate if you want. (To save money, go to Goodwill and thrift shops etc.)

  • Clean Rugs, baseboards, windows and vents.

  • Outdoor patio: organize, clean and decorate for Spring/Summer! Plus, I love to plant and garden

Below are just a few spaces that I spruced up for Spring and Summer!
