Mindset: Are you Eating Your Emotions? How to Overcome Emotional Eating
Hello friends,
Are you beginning to prepare for the new year 2024 by creating new goals, healthy habits, and maybe even weight loss goals?
Today, I wanted to tough base on mindset, emotional eating and practical steps to take toward wellness. Many struggle with and even myself going to food when feeling emotional. Unfortantly, emotional eating can have a major impact on our all around physical, emotional, spiritual, and financial health.
The last few years many of us have been stressed, fearful, walking through sources of grief and even disappointments. Unfortunately, many go to unhealthy behaviors during tough times: food, alcohol, overcommiting the schedule, obsessive cleaning, and shopping. These are steps toward unhealthy comfort, avoidant behaviors and numbing.
I wanted to share with all of you of few resources, ideas and what has helped me during peak emotional times and seasons.
Last Spring, I attended and walked through a grief support class that truly helped me on this journey toward healing, hope and resilience. Plus, have been regularly meeting with a counselor, mentor and nutritionist.
Do you have a counselor, mentor or coach you meet with reguarly?
Have you experienced sources of grief and loneliness? If you have, my thoughts and payers go out to you. Check out the most recent post on how to gain comfort during times of Grief.
If you are going through a difficult season and unable to cope, I encourage you to reach out for help.
