Sparkle and be filled with the Spirit of JOY!

Hello and welcome back for the second part of the Summer series Walking Out the Fruit of the Spirit. Today, we are learning how we can be filled and experience a life with greater JOY. With the help of the Spirit, we can be joyful even during trials, hardship, grief, and disappointments. It is only when we keep our eyes on Jesus, we know that we may be filled with joy from our salvation and hope of a great future ahead.

If you missed out on last weeks blog and video on the Fruit of the Spirit Love, Check it out! LOVE https://lisahice.com/blog/fruitofthespiritlove

May not a single moment of my life be spent outside the light, love and joy of God’s presence and not a moment without the entire surrender of myself as a vessel for Him to fill full of His Spirit and His Love. Andrew Murray

What fills you with Joy? This week, take time to ponder what fills your cup and how you experience joy. Begin by writing out at least 5-7 ways you are fullfilled with JOY and begin putting them into practice. Here are a few ideas to be filled with JOY: spending time with God, prayer, worship, gratitude, time with family and friends, laughter, listening to music, dance, time with your pet, getting outdoors, exercise, reading, cooking, crafts, volunteering, gardening, fishing, and sports.

This week, how can you radiate joy and let your light shine to your family, friends, neighbors, and in the workplace? Joy is contagious! Others gravitate to those who are joyful!

As we go through this study, I encourage you to spend time with the Lord. Pray and do word studies if there is a specific fruit you want to develop in your life.

Stay Tuned! Next Wednesday we will be studying Peace! Instead of worry, anxiety and fear let’s be filled with God’s peace!

Blessings,

Bible verses from this week’s lesson JOY:

These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.

John 15:11 NASB

If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men. Romans 12:18 NASB

Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. James 1:2-4 NASB

Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10

More Scripture you can read on joy: Psalms 16:11, Psalms 51:12, Habakkuk 3:17-19, Isaiah 12:3,John 15:11, Romans 14:17.
