How to Save Time, Money & Stress! 7 Tips For Your Christmas Shopping!

Today, I want to help you with your Christmas shopping season with these 7 tips that will help you save money, time and stress.

  1. Create a Budget! Having a budget helps us stay on track so we don’t overspend. Avoid future financial stress by paying with cash. With credit card interest rates up to 20-30% I encourage you to avoid the debt pitfall.

2. Make a list before you shop. Who do you need to shop for? What store do you need to go to or even online? How much does the item cost? Do you need to ship the presents?

3. If out of work or have less income this year, be ok with spending less. Few tips: Do a family gift exchange for a reasonable dollar amount that works for everyone’s budget. What are some DIY presents you can make? Brainstorm some fun ideas off Pinterest.

4. Shop Early: If you are planning doing online shopping, beware of delays in delivery this year so buy early.

5. Beware and protect yourself from Christmas online fraud: Check out the blog on Identity theft and protection against fraud. Click HERE Identity Theft!

6. Check for additional deals and discounts.

  • Some stores offer further discounts if you are a Senior or Military.

  •  Many stores have colored tag sales for that day or week so be on the lookout and purchase the colored tag items.

  • They may offer additional discounts if you sign up for the store’s email newsletter or membership. (Be cautious with this as this can create problems and can cause more spending.)

7. If you can, avoid the weekend crowds. Shop mid-week instead!

  • Something that I have put into practice is avoiding most shopping on the weekends if at all possible. Slower times at the stores are Monday and Tuesday mornings and Wednesday evenings. This will help you reduce stress of the long lines and the crowds.

  • Stores are usually re-stocked Sunday’s and Monday’s.

I hope these ideas are helpful as you begin the Christmas season.

I invite you to share this blog and video with others!

Wishing you a blessed and wonderful Christmas season ahead!
